Introduction

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a significant benchmark for aspiring architects, similar to how the National Defence Academy or NDA conducts an entrance exam twice a year by Union Public Service Commission for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). These are considered to be the most sought-after and prestigious defence entrance exams in the country where both male and female candidates can apply. The exam takes place in two stages, namely the written exam and SSB Interview. In the year 2020, a total of 5.3 lakh candidates had applied for the exam, out of which 2.4 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Just like the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), a list of candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in the written exam is prepared by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION. This highlights the importance and competitiveness of exams like the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
