Engineering: Electrical and Electronics

Every Indian household wants their child to excel in their career. The top career pick for decades has been engineering. It is one of the most versatile degrees that is the center of innovation. Our everyday lives depend on engineering as it provides technological solutions to the problems and issues we face and it is responsible for the advancements around us. There are various fields of engineering one can get into, such as Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Civil, Aeronautical, and other areas of expertise.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering revolve around working with electrical equipment. An electrical engineer's course includes researching, designing, testing, maintaining electrical devices, and developing electrical control systems; advancement of power generation and navigational technologies are other such responsibilities.

While the Electronics engineer course is concerned with developing circuits, generating, distributing, and using electrical energy, electronic engineers are concerned with the behavior of these circuits and making them work automatically. The field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering opens great career prospects as it is quite diverse as it ranges from houses to offices to industries.

Electrical and Electronic Engineer requirements

The first requirement to take an electrical engineering degree is to have a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering. As the job is highly risky, complex and comes with a lot of responsibilities, to take certification in electrical engineering.

They must also have applicable code knowledge related to electronic engineering. Electrical engineers should also be proficient or have a desire to learn design, calculation or any required software.

To become an electronic engineer you need a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar to that. In most jobs, a Master’s degree is preferred. As the job is of high risk, a relevant license is carried by professionals. They must possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Practical experience with design softwares is desired.
