Introduction

Requirements

  • Perform industrial engineering duties and factory automation to produce better results.
  • Initiate, plan and participate actively in equipment modifications and projects improvement for quality, productivity and cost reduction
  • Assist senior engineer in coordinating work to support project management and factory automation
  • Support senior engineer to follow up on new machines/line quality problems with vendors
  • Assist finance team to manage and control fixed asset system and update the master list of plant machines and their floor space
  • Implement networking knowledge to incorporate radios in larger networked systems and engineering teams
  • Mentor, lead and assess technical competencies of the Company
  • Assist development, implementation and refinement of the new product introduction process.
  • Identify and support initiatives to sustain engineering organization’s world class technical competency and proficiency
  • Identify advanced technologies and applications for business development
  • Distribute project communications to key stakeholders
  • Develop configuration management plans and update them
  • Assist the Finance Team:

They help the finance team to manage and control the fixed asset system and update the master list of plant machines and their floor space

  • Assist the Engineering Team:

They are required to help the entire team so that they can coordinate better and work efficiently.

  • Support the Senior Engineer:

They are required to Support senior engineers to follow up on new machines quality problems with vendors

  1. Increase the project’s profit margin- A certain amount of projected profit will be built into the fees for each project that a Specialist business works on. The projected margin KPI monitors and assesses a project’s profit margin with its revenue.

2. Number of Clients – Clients are one of the most vital components of Specialist engineering. The number of active clients a business has is tracked in this KPI. Although a larger number is often thought to be better, this is not necessarily the case. Instead of quantity, focus on the quality of the clients.

3. Customer Retention – This engineering measure is used to calculate the number of times a customer will return to you. This KPI measures how much effort you should make to acquire new clients and retain older ones. 

4. Billings- The billing engineering KPI is used to determine how much a company was able to bill clients in a certain period of time. This KPI is used to determine how much work a company should bid on as well as provide a monthly revenue amount. The higher the KPI, the higher the capacity of the company to bill clients.

Work Environment and Schedule

Engineering Specialists could work in various settings such as research laboratories, factories, construction sites, nuclear power plants, offshore oil rigs, etc. Most of them generally work in offices but they may occasionally visit worksites where a problem or piece of equipment needs their attention.
