Introduction to Cabin Crew Careers

One of the most crucial roles in the aviation industry is that of the cabin crew. The comfort, welfare, and safety of passengers aboard aircraft are entrusted to the cabin crew, comprising air hostesses and flight stewards. They meticulously inspect all emergency arrangements before takeoff and landing, ensuring passenger comfort throughout the journey.

Many young individuals aspire to join the cabin crew in the airline sector. After completing their 10+2 education, candidates can pursue certificate, diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in airline and hotel management. The primary aim of these programs is to equip students with effective communication skills for interacting with passengers and crew, along with knowledge of flight safety regulations and emergency procedures.

Candidates should clear Class 12th from a recognized board.

The flight attendant diploma program is a one-year term of study, and admittance may depend on passing an exam. The course of study resembles a certification program. 

Candidates can do a bachelor’s degree in B.Sc. or B.tech from any esteemed university.

Pass with minimum 45% – 60% aggregate marks.

You can enroll in a certification program to become a flight attendant after graduating from  school with at least a 50% grade point average. Exams and interviews may be required for admission to the certification program in order to assess your aptitude for work and communication skills.

But it is not necessary to do so. After completion of Diploma or certification courses, one can get an internship or job.

They can pursue a science stream with maths and physics. After this, they can be eligible for a bachelor’s degree.
