Smart Sensor

Smart Sensor

Introduction

Smart sensors are the typical sensors that hold wireless communication and embedded microprocessors that enable a more accurate and automated collection of environmental data with less wrong noise amongst the accurately recorded information.

Smart sensors holds the potentiality to monitor, examine and maintain a particular system in a wide variety of environments including smart grids, battlefield reconnaissance, exploration and a great number of science application.

Types of Smart Sensors

Pressure Sensor

A pressure sensor is used for pressure measurement of gases or liquids. It monitors pipelines and determine when an area is leaking or otherwise in need of repair. Pressure sensors may also be used in a variety of vehicles to monitor altitude, force, or other metrics.

Level Sensor

A level sensor is used for determining the level or amount of fluids, liquids or other stuff that flows in an open or closed system. A level sensor is one of the most common sensors. They might be used to measure tank levels, diesel fuel gauging, waste management and recycling metrics, and irrigation.

Aquatic Sensor

Aquatic sensors use to monitor water treatment and rainwater quality. These sensors are quite useful to water theme parks and aquariums.

Temperature Sensor

This Temperature sensor probably the most versatile smart sensor. These can be used in nearly every IoT environment. It collects the data related to temperature from a particular source and converts the data into an understandable form for a device or an observer.

Infrared Sensor

Infrared sensors are suitable for very specific applications. It can measure and track blood flow during certain medical procedures, monitor heat leaks in buildings and structures, and much more. Infrared sensors can also be used in wearable electronics for health and fitness, medical technology, and fashion industries.

Proximity Sensor

These types of sensors are used to detect location and motion. Commonly found in retail environments like airports, malls, and stadiums can utilize proximity sensors in parking garages to monitor availability.
