Technicians that work in the day-to-day operation of technology applications and equipment are known as Point of Sale (POS) Technicians. They offer help at the counter in resolving technological support difficulties. Installations, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other maintenance chores are performed by them.

All computers (servers, workstations, cash registers, and laptops), databases, network and separate printers, and other IT equipment are maintained and supported by the Technician.

Customers receive day-to-day technical assistance for Point of Sale software, systems, and hardware from the specialist. The POS system is installed, configured, and troubleshooted by a specialist.

Education and Training

To work as a point of sale technician (POS) technician, you must have a high school graduation and experience with system and network maintenance. Experience with point-of-sale software will help you advance in your career.

This position will have access to confidential information on a regular basis, such as financial statements, corporate records and/or minutes, customer quotes, and company plans, designs, and/or programmes.

With only general instructions, this job is expected to figure out how to complete the work assignment with little supervision.
