Cargo Terminal Operations Occupations

A cargo terminal is a transportation facility where large amounts of goods or container cargo are housed without going through any manufacturing processes, then moved to other carriers or stored outside to be transferred to other destinations. Accessory warehouses, railroad yards, storage yards, and offices are all possible additions to cargo terminals.

Airport Cargo Operations Assistant

Candidates must have completed their 10th grade and must be of 18 years minimum.

Skills Required

  • Observe and track objects to see if they meet the required operational or safety criteria.
  • Perceive the entire color spectrum in its entirety.
  • To safely steer traffic, make continuous or repetitive hand-arm movements.
  • Keep yourself in a sitting position for long periods of time.
  • Maintain a long period of time in a standing position.
  • Issue tickets to automobiles that have been abandoned or are parked improperly.
  • Contractors and others should be escorted onto the airfield in secure/sterile and varied landslide zones.
  • Climb a flight of stairs or a flight of steps.
  • Push, pull, and store numerous types of equipment physically.
  • Cooperate with the general public and other City personnel.
  • Individuals in a face-to-face, one-on-one, or group context must be able to communicate orally in English.

Job Description

  • Conducts safety and security checks in and around airline ramps, air cargo, perimeter fences, general aviation airfield, terminal gates, terminal parking lots, and other associated airport airside and landside facilities; provides aid during aircraft and other emergencies;
  • Monitors construction and tenant activity at the airport to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and takes remedial action or gives instruction on rules and regulations as needed.
  • Pushes, pulls, stores, and uses diverse equipment such as dollies, water-filled barricades, baggage carts, and portable ground power units;
  • By accompanying customers, answering inquiries, giving directions, and providing referral services, this employee assists travelers in resolving travel-related issues.
  • Performs functions related to traffic, pedestrians, and crowd control;
  • Inspects allocated areas for parking violations and provides violation notices.
  • Enforces the regulations of the road, the rules of Sky Harbor, and the rules of the airport.
  • Property that has been abandoned or lost is impounded.
  • In relation to citations or notifications of violation issued, testifies as a witness;
  • Clears the airfield of any foreign objects or rubbish;
  • Coordinates and inspects compliance with airport or tenant contractors
  • Investigates complaints and enquiries and either resolves them or refers them to the appropriate authorities;
  • Using computer software, prepares various reports and fills out forms.
  • To complete jobs, uses a variety of communication and electronic devices, such as hand-held radios, ticket writers, cell phones, e-mail, and radio communication with air traffic control towers;
  • Maintains consistent and dependable attendance.
  • Exhibits exceptional, consistent customer service, integrity, and a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and budgetary responsibility.
  • Assistance in the event of a plane crash or other emergency.

Experience-wise

Salary 

For freshers 

INR 2,000 to INR 20,000 per month 

For experienced candidates 

INR 45,000 to INR 51,000 per month
