Introduction

Rendering is about the process of generating a photorealistic image from a 2D or a 3D Model using computer softwares and the image resulting is called render and the person who does this is called a Rendering Artist.

It is the job of the Rendering Artist to color, paint, sculpt and shape images and drawings as any other artist does; however a rendering artist does this exclusively with the help of Computer Graphics.

Rendering is a technique that is usually used in fields like video games, animated movies, simulations, architectural designing, special effects, and design visualization. The techniques and features used in renderings are different from one project and another.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Creating Graphics, visual effects, and animations using 3D modelling, texture, mapping, and other techniques.
  • Attending meetings to discuss ongoing projects along with collaborating with other animators and artists
  • Understanding the requirements of the projects and conceptualizing more creative ideas
  • Visualise and create a realistic scene for movies, games, and other visual effects using storyboards
  • Receiving feedback from directors, animators, designers, and clients, and accordingly editing your creations based on the comments received.
  • Reviewing and recommending improvements on 3D art
  • Creating assets and 3D sculpts that meet artistic standards.
  • Troubleshooting any problems that arise while working on a project
  • Discuss and review projects and deadlines after meeting with clients, designers, and directors

Eligibility

  • You must have passed with 10+2.
  • Having Certificate, associate’s degree, or a bachelor's degree in graphic designing or any other related field is preferred.
  • Along with a bachelor’s degree, you must also have a strong portfolio of previous work and completed projects.

Unity Certified 3D Artist Exam

The certification course is intended to set you up for the Unity Certified 3D Artist test, the accreditation for entry to mid-level 3D artists who work with the Unity platform. This series of courses is for 3D Artists who have utilised Unity for ongoing delivery for 1-2 years, and are prepared to bring their current abilities up to an expert norm.
