Introduction

Overall, Radio Jockey in India has improved. The explosion has created a great number of jobs for people who enjoy chatting and connecting with others. A Radio Jockey can earn anywhere from INR 10,000 to 30,000 per month at beginning, but with more expertise and notoriety, the income can rise to INR 1.5 to 2 lakhs per month.

Students who want to be radio jockeys take courses like Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, BA in Mass Communication, and Bachelor of Mass Communication.

However, there are a number of certifications and diploma level courses available for radio jockeys, including the Diploma & Certificate Course in Radio Jockey, the Diploma in Radio Jockeying (DRJ) and Radio Production, the Certification Course in Radio Jockeying, and the Certificate Course in Radio Jockeying and Anchoring TV Journalism.

Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Asian College of Journalism (ACJ), and Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication are some of the most well-known institutes where these certificates can be obtained (SIMC).

Entrance Exams

There are no specific entrance exams for Radio Jockey graduate or undergraduate programs in India. However, individuals aspiring to pursue a career in radio jockeying can opt for a degree or diploma in mass communication, journalism, or media studies. Some of the popular entrance exams for these programs include

  • Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) Entrance Exam
  • Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC) Entrance Exam
  • Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Entrance Exam
