Verification Engineers should have a minimum of a B.E. (Electronics) certification (course aligned to ELE/Q1301 published by the Electronics Sector Skills Council).

Job Description

The following are some of the responsibilities of a Verification Engineer:
Performing tests to validate that the design's functioning meets the input/output parameters Examining the design requirements
Creating test scenario
Validate results by running a verification programme with software.
For design implementation, coordinating with the system-on-chip (SOC) design team.

Key Competencies

SOC design expertise System design and semiconductor physics knowledge
Expert at detecting anomalies and determining the source of the problem
Knowledge of high-level languages for design, such as C, C++, and others. Well-versed in the notion of Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
HDL simulation and synthesis expertise
Well-versed in the flow of the functional verification process
Computer architecture knowledge
Understanding of the test bench, test cases, and how to use them
Hardware verification languages (HVL) such as System Verilog, Specman, and others are required.
Process verification requirements for digital, analogue, and mixed design types, among others, are well-understood.
Circuit design expertise

Experience-wise	Salary
For freshers	INR 37,500 to INR 40,000 per month
For candidates with experience	INR 50,000 to INR 55,000 per month

As electrical and IT hardware production expands in India, demand for Verification Engineers is expected to rise. By 2022, the number of people directly employed in the industry is expected to expand from 0.9 million to over 4 million. By 2022, the industry as a whole will require approximately 3 million to 3.2 million additional human resources, with 14,92,000 in manufacturing operations.
