They must also have applicable code knowledge related to electronic engineering. Electrical engineers should also be proficient or have a desire to learn design, calculation or any required software.

To become an electronic engineer you need a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar to that. In most jobs, a Master’s degree is preferred. As the job is of high risk, a relevant license is carried by professionals. They must possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Practical experience with design softwares is desired.

Most colleges that offer Electrical and Electronics Engineering courses admit students only after they appear in National or state-level engineering examinations. To qualify in the UG programme (B.Tech.), the student must appear in JEE Main after completing their +2 examination with minimum of 75% marks in 2021, and for the PG programme(M.Tech.), they have to appear for the GATE examination. Candidates can qualify after scoring 55% minimum marks in their UG course.
